Where Sound Technology Meets Reality

Our patented and field-proven technologies and reference designs enable hearing-in-noise, so that you can distinguish voices even in:

  • Crowds

  • Reverberation (e.g., restaurants and stairwells)

  • Near field (e.g., across a table)

  • Far field (e.g., across a room or street)

  • Trains, airplanes, and automobiles

Conferencing Systems

Overlapping voices and competing sounds make listening on a conference call frustrating or even impossible. Being able to separate voices helps listeners hear and understand, eliminates feedback squeal, and improves captioning and transcripts.

Hearing Assistance

Hearing is primarily about intelligibility - the ability to distinguish and make sense of sounds. Individuals with hearing loss frequently cannot distinguish individual voices or other sounds in the presence of man-made noise, competing speech, and reverberation, particularly in real-time.  Our patented approaches to embedding our hearing assistive beamforming and source separation technologies into clothing, phone and tablet covers, and laptop cases can solve this problem.

Voice Command & Control

Devices need to hear clearly in noise to interpret voice commands correctly. Our source separation technology uses the “wake word” to focus on the talker giving the command, even from the back seat of an automobile or across the room, and through other voices and noise.

Medical Devices

Sounds made by your heart, lungs, or joints provide important insights into how each are functioning. Wave Sciences' patented smart garment technologies can listen not only outward (to others) and upward (to oneself), but also inward (to one’s internal organs, joints, and implants) to enable solutions to telemedicine, post-operative condition monitoring, and home health care problems.

Government

Government agencies around the world rely on Wave Sciences' technologies in forensic, communications, search & rescue, first responder, officer safety, hostage rescue, suicide prevention, and other applications.
